Mibet Energy has supplied its solar ballast mounting system for BOE Technology Group's recently grid-connected 22MW rooftop solar project. The installation is now generating renewable energy to support the factory's operational needs.

Spanning approximately 170,000 square meters of rooftop space on BOE's facility, the solar installation is projected to generate 23 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually. This substantial output will directly contribute to powering BOE's manufacturing activities while also offering the potential for surplus energy to be fed back into the grid.

The project utilized Mibet Energy's non-penetrating ballast mounting system, specifically engineered for large-scale flat or low-slope commercial rooftops, like the BOE factory which features a slight drainage pitch. A key feature of the supplied system was the integration of wind deflectors. These components significantly reduce wind uplift and drag forces on the PV modules. This enhances overall system stability, particularly in areas prone to strong winds, and can contribute to optimizing the required ballast weight, a crucial consideration for rooftop load capacity.

Further enhancing system integrity on the low-slope roof, Mibet's solution included cover plates to securely link adjacent rail structures, minimizing potential movement or shifting over time. The system also incorporates Mibet's proprietary adjustable rear base brackets. These brackets feature elongated slots allowing for precise height adjustments, ensuring a secure, flush fit between the clamps and diverse solar panel frame sizes, preventing deformation or slippage.

"We are pleased to have partnered with BOE Technology Group on this impactful renewable energy project," said James Chen, Sales Director at Mibet Energy. "Our ballast system, complete with wind deflectors and adjustable components, was tailored to meet the specific structural and environmental conditions of the site, ensuring long-term reliability and performance."
